Since 1993, LBM is a Transport Canada approved organization which is the Canada’s aviation regulatory authority permitting to design, manufacture, maintain, or repair aeronautical products while adhering to rigorous safety and quality standards. LBM play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of aeronautical products and this certification signifies compliance with Transport Canada’s stringent regulations and standards in the aviation industry.
Equivalent to Design Organisation Approval (DOA) / Part 21 Subpart J
Since 2021, LBM had been granted approval and authority by Transport Canada to oversee and approve the design of aeronautical products. DAOs are critical in the aviation industry by ensuring new aircraft, components, or modifications meet safety and airworthiness standards. Key responsibilities include design review, certification, compliance monitoring and technical expertise that all ensure that aeronautical products are safe, reliable, and meet the regulatory requirements for airworthiness.
Our STCs are official approval documents which are issued by Transport Canada and validated by FAA and EASA which permits the installation of our products and ensure that they are safe, reliable and complies with aviation regulations. It allows aircraft operators to benefit from performance enhancements while maintaining airworthiness and safety standards.
